JoAnn “JoJo” Pindara, age 82, of Chicago, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016. She survived by her husband, of 63 years, Edward “Butch” M. Pindara; children, Michael (Cynthia) Pindara, Tina Marie Pindara and Todd Pindara; grandchildren, Carissa Spindler, Nicholas Pindara and Susan Pindara; great grandchildren, Cameron Gilbert and Rhiannon Spindler; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and special lifelong friend, Donna Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Betty Markiewicz and Bobbie Ann Mazurkiewicz. JoJo was a 1952 graduate of Bowen H.S. Chicago, IL. Her colorful career led her to Illinois Bell, as a switchboard operator, a South Chicago Hospital, office manager, a CPS, cafeteria worker and lastly, in the apparel department, at Sport Mart. JoJo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid cat lover, who enjoyed retirement and the casinos. As per JoJo’s wishes, services and interment were private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in JoJo’s name to Hospice of the Calumet.
