He is survived by his son, Craig (Cher) MacArthur; daughter, Patricia MacArthur; grandchildren, Jessie and Brian MacArthur; caregiver, Denise Schaafsma; preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (nee Koch); daughter, Corey Jane; son, Daniel Richard; Visitation will be on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be private. Interment will be at Cedar Park Cemetery, Calumet Park, IL. John was a member of the Illiana Club of Traditional Jazz and retired from NBC Television in Chicago. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
