He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna (nee Skwirtz); daughters, Laura Spork and Lisa Misch; son, Mark Misch; grandsons, Karl and Kevin Spork; brother, Alfred (late Diane) Misch; sister, Mary Ann (Franklin Black) Misch-Black. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN.. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/tribute, Fr. Flanagan Boy’s Town, www.boystown.org or Paralyzed Veterans of America, www.pva.org in his memory would be appreciated. John served for 2 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and was a graduate of T.F. North High School Class of ’53. He operated Misch Brothers Grocery on Wentworth Ave. and was the owner of Jamar Coatings. John owned a private Pilot’s License and he loved to fly. John was an avid fisherman, golfer, hunter and skier. He and his brother were capable handymen who enjoyed tinkering with everything.\t
