John A. Kulka, 86, of Munster, IN passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016. He is survived by his son, Robert (Janice) Kulka; daughter, Karolyn (Daniel) Bishop; granddaughters, Erinne Kulka-Sikich and Rachel Bishop; sister-in-law, Joyce Rice. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet in 2014; his parents, Teodor Kulka and Josephine Kulka; two sisters: Cecelia Boris and Valeria Wleklinski. Visitation will be on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am. Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be private. John was a graduate of East Chicago Washington High School Class of 1947 and a graduate of Indiana University School of Business Class of 1951. He was a self employed Realtor and a Licensed Appraiser. John was a Free Mason and a member of Early Ford V-8 Car Club and the Winimac Old Car Club. He served in the Indiana National Guard for 12 years with the Combat Engineer Company based out of Gary, Indiana at the time.
