To the entire Werner family, I am so sorry for your loss. John was a special man, always willing to help. That driveway chair was always available to sit and talk for a while. All the dogs loved him for the treats and bully sticks. I will especially miss taking him to bingo, he wouldn’t admit it but he looked forward to Wednesday and Friday. Rest in peace John, you will be missed. Ruth

Nancy Trzupek left a message on March 22, 2024:
My condolences to the entire Werner family. John was the first person to welcome me when I moved into his neighborhood back in 2021. From that day forward he treated me as if I was one of his daughters. I would come home from work to find John extending my downspouts, securing a board to the bottom of my deck, or I would find dinner waiting for me in my garage. The list goes on and on. John was so giving of others and had the biggest heart. John loved to sit and talk with all the neighbors and he especially loved passing out treats to his favorite neighbors his four-legged friends. I will miss all his stories about the old days from where he grew up, from where he worked, and his talk of his family and grandchildren. Most importantly I am just going to miss him, I am forever grateful to him. The neighborhood will not be the same without him. May you rest in peace John for you are where you have wanted to be for a very long time back in the arms of your beloved wife. Please know that I have not forgotten what you have told me and I promise I will do what you have asked. Love you. Your neighbor, Nancy
