John was a fellow Classmate at CHS, Class of 1965. A special kind of guy, never seemed to meet anyone he couldn't be friends with. I always like his brand of humor back then. Last saw him at 50th Class Reunion and saw right away that he hadn't changed much over the years. Then face book happened. I couldn't get enough of his terrible jokes and puns! Prayers to the family for their great loss. He surely will be missed by so many.

Hello Jay, My friendship with your dad was solely through his passionate support of the Right-to-Life organization here in Lake County, Indiana! What a kind man he was to me as I was "new kid on the block" almost eight years ago, when I joined the movement; his insight was so valuable to me, and encouraging as I joined the very frustrating fight for Fatherhood, Motherhood, and the unborn. Thank you for sharing him with us. The last time I was with him, I got to visit him in his home, and his IT knowledge was SO VALUABLE for the nuts & bolts of organization Lake County Right-to-Life. God bless you and your family, and THANK GOD for Heaven!!

RIP my good friend. You were the person who turned me on to computers which lead to me becoming a tech-geek. I would always turn to you for help and you were always there for me and challenged me to learn more. Plus, your humor was beyond description -- you always made me smile! I will miss you today, tomorrow, and forever.

What a blessing to have had John as my Godfather! Spending all the holidays with our families together growing up made our small family feel so much bigger and better. John was a master of the dad joke, and I grew up with him calling me “Ralphie” as a nickname. He will be so missed.
