John H. Thiese, 91, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009. Beloved husband of Jacqueline; Loving father of Margaret (Ronald) Johnson, Patricia (William) Fitzgerald, Mary (Joseph) Murphy and Paul (Terry) Thiese; cherished grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 14; fond brother of Catherine (late Douglas) Cook; caring brother in law of Mary (late Charles) Thiese; preceded in death by his son: John; brother: Paul (Mary) Thiese; sister: Marie (Vernon) Critchfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 12:00 PM at St. John Fisher Church 10234 S. Washtenaw Ave. Chicago, IL. 60655. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM at the church. Private interment, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. John retired from Englewood Electric after 35 years of service. Member of the American Legion, St. Terrance Church and former member of St. John Fisher Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Fisher School in his memory.
