He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Virginia; loving father of Michele (Ben) Robins, John (Lorraine) Linn, Suzanne Rodriguez and Mark (Elizabeth) Linn; cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Melissa, Angela, Carleen, Josh, Eric, Sherri, Matthew, Adam, Stephanie, Denis, Michael and Jonathan; fond great grandfather of 11; son in law: Darryl Powell and faithful companions: Willie and Wilma; several nieces, nephews and friends; preceded in death by his daughter: Laura Powell and sister: Audrey Velo; Visitation will be on Thursday January 15, 2009 from 2:00-7:30 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN. Funeral service will be Thursday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment: Oakland Memory Lane Cemetery, Dolton, IL. John was a resident of Lansing for over 50 years, member of the Hammond Moose Lodge 570 and retired from TPC Food Service.
