John R. Hughes, 85 of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011. he is survived by his wife: Charlene Hughes (Krieps) (nee Reid); daughter: Joyce Watson; sons: Jeffrey (Brenda) and James (Sherri) Hughes; grandchildren: J.P., Sarah, Matthew and Jordan; Charlene’s family: 6 sons, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; A Memorial service will be held on October 1, 2011, 11:00AM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. John was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church; served with the U.S. Army of occupation in Japan during World War II and retired from Union Carbide with over 30 years of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.The interment of John’s cremation remains will be at Cunningham Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Albans, West Virginia, on October 8, 2011
