John S. Holka, 69 of Munster, IN passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Janice (nee Greichunos); loving father of Dr. Stephen (Dr. Elizabeth) Holka and Alison Holka; proud grandfather of Miles and Henry Holka; cherished brother of Martha (Bill) Hylek; fond brother in law of Carol (Ron) Hylek, Sonny, David (Julie) and Donald Greichunos; proud uncle of many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Holka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Fr. Rick Holy officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN. John was a retired Superintendant from LTV Steel, served with the U.S. Army, member of American Legion Allied Post 369, member of Knight of Columbus Msgr. Connelly Council 1700 and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet area. Memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
