Joseph F. Ferraro, 73, of Munster, IN formerly of Hazel Crest, IL passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 6, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol (nee Koller); daughters: Carole (Dominic) Ruffalo and Marianne (Robert) Niersbach; grandchildren: Dominic, Joey and Anthony Ruffalo, Jena and Jonathan Niersbach; sister: Barbara (Joseph) McKenna; brother: David (Barbara) Ferraro; many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his daughter: Jeanne Marie Ferraro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM from St. Maria Goretti Church, Fr. Charles Niblick officiating; Entombment, Calumet Park Cemetery; Visitation will be on Tuesday December 9, 2008 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN and Wednesday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. Joseph served with the U.S. Army and retired as a supervisor from U.S. Steel Gary Works after 34 years of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Wounded Healers or St. Jude Children Hospital in his memory would be appreciated.
