Joseph R Pardek, age 62, of Dyer, Indiana passed away suddenly, Sunday, August 22nd. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Henrietta Pardek. Beloved husband of Deborah Pardek (nee Blohm), who survives, along with cherished children Matthew Pardek, Dyer, Christopher (fiancée Bianca Pantone), WillowBrook, IL, Michael (Allyson) Pardek, Boston, MA and Phillip Pardek, Dyer. Also survived by dearest sister, Suzanne (Joseph) Ajdinovich, in-laws, Arthur & Joyce Blohm, sister-in-laws, Gayle (Bob) Pahl and Wendy (John )Arth, aunt Mary Dubec, nieces Katie (Marc) Alexander, Karyn (Tom) Latta, nephews Joseph & Steven Ajdinovich, James Arth (fiancée Jessica Mays) and great nephews, Nolan Latta & Jaxtyn Alexander. He was a graduate of Bishop Noll High School, Class of 1966. Upon graduation from Purdue University in 1971, Joe went to work for NIPSCO as an electrical engineer, working for 39 years with a plan to retire at the end of 2010. When Deb & Joe met on an arranged date, it was love at first sight. On November 3, 2010, they would have celebrated 37 years of marriage. The family traveled to Boston for the 7/25/2010 wedding of his son Michael. He was looking forward to celebrating the marriage of his son Christopher on 9/18/2010.He was a great husband, father, brother, in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was loyal to all. He was a fan of the White Sox, Chicago Bears and Purdue University football. He was a member of the John Purdue Club and the NIPSCO Tuesday night golf league, Wicker Park. He worked hard and played hard. He will be forever loved and missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Meals On Wheels, The St. Paul Lutheran Church, Munster, IN Garden Circle or a charity of your choice. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 25th, 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN and Thursday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN Fr. Charles Niblick officiating.
