Josephine C. Knesek, 88 of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Beloved mother of Donna (Nick) Krizmanic, Gerald (Andrea) Knesek, Karen (Ron Smith) Benoit, James (Julie) Knesek and Mark (Christine) Knesek; proud grandmother of Nicholas Krizmanic, David, Michael, James Jr, Stephanie and Matthew Knesek; cherished great grandmother of Mia Krizmanic, Avalynn and Madison Knesek; loving sister of Frances (Darlene) Herman and Marge Krawczykowski; several nieces and nephews; preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Joseph Knesek. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Thursday from 10:00-10:30 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Munster, IN. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Josephine was a longtime parishioner at St. Thomas More Church as well as a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She retired after many years from St. Thomas More School. Josephine was a member of the Munster Keenagers. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area or the American Heart Association in her memory would be appreciated.
