Joy C. Sowinski, age 73, of Dyer, IN passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. She is survived by her daughters, Melinda (Steve) Gill and Patricia (Robert) Schrum; grandchildren, Jake Schrum, Grace Schrum and Kira Gill; brothers, Charles (late Gertrude) Yingling, Paul (Jan) Yingling and James (Mary) Yingling. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sowinski and parents, Lillian and Harold Yingling. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Visitation will be on Sunday, at the funeral home, from 11:00 a.m. until the 3:00 p.m. service. Interment will be private. Joy’s grandchildren were her life.
