Karl P. Dytrych, 76 of Munster, IN passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Margie; daughter, Karly Dytrych; son, Kyle Dytrych; brother, Paul (Christine) Dytrych; sister, Lynn (late Thomas) Hutchins; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ann Dytrych.

Visitation will be Friday, September 19, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 pm with a prayer service at 4:30 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. and on Saturday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be private.

Karl was the Finance Director for the Gary Diocese for many years and served with the U.S. Army. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Planting Possibilities (www.plantingpossibilities.org) or Opportunity Enterprises (www.oppent.org) in his memory would be appreciated.

'67 classmate at St. Ignatius. He will always be remembered for his terrific performances in Harlequin productions. I will also remember being on the 12th Street bus and a group of girls squealed "Dytrych" as he got off. Needless to say neither my entrances nor exits received such attention, causing the indelible memory. RIP Terry Flynn

Karl was a deeply dedicated father, loving husband, fiercely loyal friend, stalwart champion of what is right and good regardless of personal cost. All in all, he was a good man we are very proud of. He was also a warrior. Fate once whispered to him "You cannot withstand the storm." Karl whispered back "I am the storm." Farewell, brother, until we meet again.
