Kay touched many lives as a nurse and friend. Her genuine heart felt compassion especially for the less fortunate and disenfranchised of society. Kay also was an outstanding co-worker; she was always reliable and very hard-working. I will miss her friendship, her smile, and her laugh. Many a tough time she pulled me through to help me become the person I am today. A memory that I want to share is how Kay influenced many troubled youngsters to make good decisions. As a psychiatric nurse, Kay was able to manage a crisis unlike anyone I have ever met.

I have lost a very dear and special friend who was the kindest person. She had strong beliefs and was never afraid to stand up for them. She took a stand on issues and was active in creating positive changes. She was a genuine and unique individual who touched many lives, loved by many, always seeing the good in people. She wanted things to be fair and just and thats why we were friends and she taught me better ways to think about work ethics, fairness, and politically correct values and how to be a strong woman. The world was a better place because of Kay. May God Bless all her loved ones and friends and may she be relieved from the recent suffering she endured. Amen
