It is with heavy hearts that we announce Kathy Ann Noel (nee Bellinghausen), age 75 of Munster, IN, went home to be with Jesus on July 22, 2026.
Kathy graduated from Highland High School in 1969. She married the love of her life in 1972, and they spent 54 wonderful years together. She was a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful daughters, and when they were old enough, she persued a career in healthcare and graduated at the top of her class. She loved her job as a CNA at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, IN, where she was employed for 19 years until she was injured on the job.
Kathy was incredibly proud of her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved supporting them in their endeavors. She could often be seen cheering them on at their live performances and sporting events. She was very thoughtful and generous, always going above and beyond to ensure special occasions and holidays were exceptional.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, gardening and working in the yard, decorating her home, playing slot machines at the casinos, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers. She loved Tweety Bird, and she collected seashells and anything gingerbread. She adored Engelbert Humperdinck and his music, and she was a proud member of his fan club as his #1 fan. She attended numerous concerts over the years and was ecstatic to catch several of his special hankies that he tossed out into the crowd.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, William H. Noel II; loving daughters, Daphne (John) Jaffe of Indianapolis, IN and Candace (Brian) Golec of Greenwood, IN; cherished grandchildren, Breanna Jaffe, Johnny Jaffe, and Brian Golec; and loyal companion, her dog, Winnie. She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Diane Mattix, Barbara Niewinski, and Vicki Orr, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Mary Bellinghausen; twin sister, Karen Howell; father and mother-in-law, William and Anita Noel; and sister-in-law, Judith Noel.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, IN. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Memorial donations in Kathy’s honor can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. (www.stjude.org)
Kathy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as her memory lives on in the hearts of all who were honored to know her.
