Kenneth C. Brown, 89 of Highland, IN passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Louise (nee Garriock); sons, Bob (Linda), Ken and Rich (Wendy); daughter, Pam (Steve); 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Anna Brown; brothers, Paul and Bill; sister, Dorothy; granddaughter, Jennifer and grandson, Erik.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 am with the funeral service at 11:00 am at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery, Hammond, IN.

Ken was a diehard Cubs and Bears fan. He loved poker, gin rummy, softball, handball, golf, umpiring and horse racing. A special thank you to Alma, Sherry, Sara and Kristie the cub girl from Total In Home Services for their care and support as well as Darla and nurse Kellie.

Ken worked at the Illinois Central Railroad until 1968 when he left to work at Motorola when he retired.  He was also a Korean War veteran.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South Suburban Humane Society in Chicago Heights, IL either online at https://www.southsuburbanhumane.org/, or by check to:

To the Browns- So Sorry to hear of your dad's passing - the last of the Browns. My brothers and I always admired your dad's youth and vigor - he was always so up-beat and positive. We loved to talk sports with him. When we were young (and now) we really thought it was cool that our uncle was a baseball umpire and poker player.
