Kimberly Lynn Valdivia, age 50, of Portage, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Munster Community Hospital, in Munster. She was surrounded by her loving boyfriend, Michael A. Segvich; and two loving children, Alec Burnett and Amanda Rivera; also, surviving, her grandson Colton Morris Burnett. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Jeffress, her Mother Nancy (Jeffress) Valdivia and Father Ventura Valdivia Jr.
Kimberly was a 1991 graduate of Hobart High School. She worked in the casino industry for over 30 years, with the former Trump, Majestic and Hard Rock Casinos. Her passion was traveling the world the last five years with Michael to Vegas, Aruba, Bahamas, Mexico and Maui. Kimberly enjoyed birthday celebrations with her best friends from her childhood and looked forward every year to spend time with them. She cherished every moment with her grandson Colton and playing with her dog Xxie. She devoted her care and love to her friends and family, especially her children. She never worried about herself only the people she cared for and loved. Kimberly was full of life, very carefree and given person, at the end, she donated her organs to the Gift of Hope. She never placed herself first and was wanted to help others. Thanks for everyone’s love and support.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27,2024 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, Family and friends my visit with the family on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 3:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. service. A private burial will take place at Calumet Park Cemetery at a later date.
