Beth Ruyle and Craig Hullinger left a message on August 8, 2011:
Though we have not seen Larry in recent years, I have always considered him a friend. Larry was always there for me when I frist moved to Homewood from the far South. He continued his support throughout the years. I also know that Craig enjoyed working with him when he was in Munster. One of our remberemces was of Larry helping move from my apratment to my condo. I had very heavy furniture including a piano. Craig was on one end and Larry, with back problems, and lightweight Reggie Greenwood on the other. I just saw Larry in the hospital with a torn up back or the piano at the foot of the stairs.Larry also booked Cheryl to ride with us to the city manager's conference in Iowa. She sat without complaining in the backseat of a Firebird. I am sure she let Larry know about his choice of a ride for her.Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Cheryl, and family. I am sorry we could not make the funeral. We are living most of the time in Florida returning now only for work and family visits.Take care and if there is anything we can do let us know.
