Larry R. Wiley Sr, 77, of Schererville, IN formerly of Munster, IN passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gerri (nee Mosca); loving daughters, Pamela (Matthew) Welsh and Heidi (Robert) Cobb; loving son, Larry (Rita) Wiley Jr; cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Timothy and MacKenzie Welsh, Tony Cobb and Courtney Wiley; brother, Robert (Carolyn) Wiley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Edith Wiley; brother, Ronald Wiley and sister, Susan Harvey. Larry was a graduate of Hammond High School and retired from Inland Steel after 34 years of service as a pipefitter foreman. He was an avid golfer, who enjoyed 3 holes-in-one in his lifetime. Larry loved playing courses in California, Michigan and Florida, but mostly enjoyed golfing with his buddies at Wicker Park. His love for golf was only surpassed by his love for his family. Visitation will be Friday, September 8, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 am from the funeral home. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Ave. Valparaiso, IN 46383 or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
