Lillian Mary Kluses of Munster, Indiana passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Kluses, and her brother, Peter, who died in 1990. She is survived by her cousins Emily Klusis of Chicago and Rasa Oesterwinter of Germany. She leaves behind her close friend, Lita Panozzo, and all of Lita's family, as well as other good friends. Lillian had a long and successful career with the Harris Trust and Savings Bank in downtown Chicago. She served for many years in Personal related line-of-work. In 1970 she joined the Banking Department where she worked with customers assigned to her care, helping them with their needs in all areas of the bank. She was elected Personal Banking Officer and two years later Assistant Vice President. She was named Vice President in 1979. Lillian was grateful for the opportunities she had \”to grow within the Harris Organization\”. After 46 years of service, she retired in 1983. In her retirement years, Lillian and her brother Peter enjoyed spending time and entertaining friends at their country cottage at Koontz Lake, Indiana. A favorite pastime was playing bridge, both on the home front in Munster and at the country cottage. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 2201 Azalea Drive, Highland, Indiana. Internment will be private. It was Lillian's wish that any donations in her memory be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ or to Macular Degeneration Research , 22513 Gateway Center Dr., P.O.
