We are very saddened by the loss of our dear friend Lou. He was an amazing person with such a happy personality and good heart. As he always reminded us, "Don't sweat the small stuff". He gave such wonderful advice with a smile. We will miss you deeply Lou. Our deepest condolences to the Surufka family!

Count me in as an adoring niece. The Pied Piper for us younger cousins. When Uncle Louie was in the room, you just knew something good was gonna happen and you wanted nothing more than to stick around and watch him weave his magic web. Carol Lynn was so right: his code of "Don't sweat the small stuff" has come to mind so many times in my life. The sideways grin the minute he saw you, like he had three jokes to tell you and he couldn't decide which one to start with. The way he wore his wristwatch just a little high up his arm, just like Uncle Eddie. The way he'd spin you around in a polka, never dropping an ash. The twinkle in those dancing blue eyes that made you feel special and loved. Just as he will always be. One of a kind. We were all so blessed to have him in our lives. Love and prayers to Mike, Lin, Nan, Mark and your families.

Adored is the perfect word for my Uncle Lou. Anytime, day or night, one could knock on the back door and hear “Hey, come on in!” We could talk seriously, but, made jokes most of the time. For fun. For relief. Don’t sweat the small stuff. He was the most welcoming person to us and to our friends who came with us to 8020. EVERY phone call or visit was started with “How are the kiddos?” He knew what was important. Miss you Miss calls with you Miss dropping by to see you, and, Miss your teasing when I have a beer (or 2) from your fridge door. Carol Lynn
