Luisa M.Pomales (nee Santos Rodriguez), 75, of East Chicago, IN passed away on Saturday, November 25,2023. In the 75 years that Luisa lived, she was so many things to so many people. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a mother-in-law, and a friend. Her parents Juan R. Santos and Maximina Rodriguez would have been proud to see what a strong independent woman she developed into as she raised her three children Jose E. (Becky) Pomales, Jr. and their daughters, Marisa and Alyssa, her second born son Marco A. (Kelly) Marin and their children, Jaden, Aliyah, Isaiah, Alexander, and great grandson, Jeremy; and daughter Gabriela Pomales and her daughter, Jalaya. With great affection, she also helped raise her grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her sister Hada Santos Rodriguez and her sons, Eduardo and Gualberto-Wary; brothers, Rafael and Roberto Reyes. Luisa loved God, her family, dancing Salsa and Merengue, hearing her children’s jokes, watching her favorite tv shows, figuring out cross word puzzles, telling stories, and drinking her coffee. She joins her son Jose E. Pomales, Jr. in heaven.
