Lynne B. Stutler, 83 of Dyer, IN passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. She is survived by her sons, Thad (Tracy) Stutler and Mark (Julie) Stutler; grandchildren, Benjamin (Danielle) Stutler, Matthew (Brianna) Stutler, Emily (Jacob) Powers, Jacob Stutler, LeAnn Stutler and Kyle Stutler; great grandchildren, Grayson Stutler, Mia Stutler and Elijah Powers; sister, Amy (Philip) Christenson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Stutler, parents, Walter and Leona (nee Keilman) Hilbrich, brother, David Hilbrich.

A Mass of Christen Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 12:00 pm at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, IN. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.

Lynne was a longtime resident of Dyer and was the Bookkeeper / Librarian at Kahler Middle School until her retirement. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice

Lynne was Dyer's finest of the fine and the most knowledgeable of its historians at the time of her passing on April 6, 2026! She always brought joy, light, and laughter to all of her family and her friends AND to her colleagues at Kahler Middle School! Lynne's epic essence will forever be in our hearts and memories! My sincerest heartfelt condolences to her precious progeny who, now, have an extraordinary saint in heaven who'll watch over and care for them perpetually! She will always be my DEAR, sweet, and precious Sister-Friend!

I remember her from the hospital when Gary was a patient. She always treated us with kindness. Such a sweet lady. My condolences to the family.

Teddy was known for her kindness. She attended St. Joseph Church for many years as well as attending St. Joseph School. Condolences to her family.

Lynne was such a funny and sassy lady. Her humor and sarcasm were top notch and will be missed. I always enjoyed our time at the bunco events. It won’t be the same without you there. I will miss assembling your food and dessert plates and making your raffle selections. I will miss your laughter when we tally our score and hear all the others. Most of all, I will miss the twinkle, in your eyes, when you let loose a zinger of a comment. Rest easy, my friend.
