Manuel “Manny” Lozano, age 73, of Dyer, IN, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Joan (nee Pluta) Lozano; daughters, Mike Fairchild and Becky Lozano; son, Christopher (Carol) Lozano; grandsons, Alex and Drew Lozano; sisters, Alice Galvez and Anna Cortez; brother, Ignacio (Cindy) Cortez; sisters-in-law, Pat (late Frank) Bonick; Dolores (late Tom) Tigner, Lorraine (Carlos) Peddycoart, and Annie (Shawn) Buchanan; best friends, Jim (Sharon) Carrigan, special neighbors, Gary (Kathy) Carver, and Joe (Diane) Mamone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isabel (nee Trinidad) and Ignacio Cortez. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 DIRECTLY at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN with a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Reverend Charles Niblick. Interment will follow at Chapel lawn Memorial gardens Schererville, IN. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 calumet Ave. Munster, IN, from 2:00 pm. to 7:00 p.m., and again on Monday, at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Manny’s name to community Outreach St. Maria Goretti food pantry.
