Margaret “Margie” Dillon, age 63, of Hammond, IN passed away peacefully on October 24, 2017 At St. Mary’s Hospital Hobart, IN, under the care of Harbor Light Hospice, with loving family by her bedside. Ending a courageous struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and Dementia at Sebo’s Nursing and Rehab. Margie was born January 11, 1954 to Clara and Lawrence Zea, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Ernest “Ernie” Dillon; four loving children, Steven (Valerie) Marlow, Lori (Chris) Nazimek, Elizabeth (Carlos) Reyes and Kathleen (Carlos) Galvan; sisters, Sheila (Mike) Nairn, Dottie (Lee) Reves and Karen Zea; brothers, George, Jerry and Larry Zea; sister-in-law, Sharon Dillon; and many precious grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Hammond, IN. Visitation will be on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 9:30 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service. Margie was a loving mother, grandmother and sister with many friends by her side. Her lifetime community involvement in Hammond, IN consisted of children’s Woodmar Baseball, serving as a Precinct Committee Women and elected as a Delegate to the State Convention. Margie served as President and was member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 168. She graduated from Hammond Tech High School and worked for the City of Hammond Court’s and the Lake County Clerk’s office. Margie loved the CUB’S, spending time with family and friends, traveling and football Sundays. She will be missed by all and was loved by many. We will miss you “KITTEN!” In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margie’s name to the Lori Nazimek family.
