Margaret E. (nee Hornak) LaMere-Raskosky, age 87, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016. She is survived by her five children, John (Julie) LaMere, Geralyn (Miles) Schroeder, Barbara (late Terry) LaMere-Heck, Maggie (Jeff) Martin, and Mary (John) Martin; fifteen grandchildren, Christina (Matt) Bruno, Dr. Greg (Katie) Schroeder, Nicholas Heck, Michelle (Sam) Compton-Craig, Alexis Heck, Elizabeth LaMere, Joshua LaMere, Stephen (Lauren) Fielding, Patrick Fielding, Kevin (Brittney) Martin, Benjamin Martin, Katharine Martin, Jack Martin, Molly Martin, and Grace Martin; five great grandchildren; sister, Anne Marie (John) Going; and sister-in-law, Mary Hornak. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Donald J. LaMere and Honorable Edward Raskosky; son, Donald Thomas LaMere; daughter, Nancy LaMere; and brother James Hornak. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 DIRECTLY at St. Joseph Catholic Church 5310 Hohman Ave. Hammond, IN, with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Richard Orlinski. Interment will follow at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery Hammond, IN. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and again at the church, on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Margaret served as the Clerk of the Hammond Court for over forty years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
