Margaret Mae Sulzbacher, age 85, passed away during the solar eclipse August 21, 2017 in Munster, IN at Hartsfield Village Care Center. Marge was born in Chicago to Carrie and John Baer September 29, 1931. She was a member of Hirsch High School class of 1949 and attended DePaul studying accounting. She married Seymour Lawrence (Larry) Sulzbacher on July 21, 1951 and was a homemaker. She and Larry lived in Ottawa and Peoria, but spent most of their lives in Chicago Heights and attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Olympia Fields for many years. Later they moved to Hartsfield Village in Munster together. Marge is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry; as well as her parents and brother, Fred. Marge is survived by her daughters, Judy Meadows of Apple Valley, CA and Susan (Lou) Boers of New Buffalo, MI and Downers Grove, IL; also surviving are her grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer) Dukes and Louis Matthew Boers; and great grandchild, Conor Dukes. Marge loved gardening, birds, crosswords, playing bridge, dogs, fishing and an occasional cocktail. The family offers sincere thanks to nurses Pascal and Rachel at Hartsfield and Pastor Sue Devermann of Our Savior Lutheran. Memorials may be given to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lansing, IL or Hospice of the Calumet Area in Munster. The family will observe a private remembrance.
