Margaret N. Augustine, 79, of Munster, IN passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016. She is survived by her brother, John (Eleanor) Augustine; nephews, Joseph (Mary) Augustine, Jack (Karen) Augustine, Steve Augustine and Rick (Edie) Lowe; nieces, Jean (Bud) Rhyne, Audrey (David) Darito and Karen Bruce; several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Augustine; sister, Irene Augustine Lowe. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Margaret was a graduate of Hammond Tech Class of 1954. She retired from Inland Steel after 34 years of service. After retirement, Margaret went to work for the North Township Trustee for 15 years and the Lake County Government Center for 6 years. She was a longtime member of the Indiana Harbor First Hungarian Reformed Church. Margaret was a Board member of the St. Joseph Carmelite Home for 30 years and an Officer and member of the Carmelite Guild for 35 years. She was a volunteer at Munster Community Hospital for 40 years. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Joseph Carmelite Home in her memory would be appreciated.
