Marguerite A. Pietraszak (nee Schmuhl), age 88, passed away on May 15, 2020.  For nearly 20 years, she worked in the Community Development department for the municipality of Calumet City.  An active member of the St. Thomas More parish, Marguerite shared her hard work and time by putting meals together and delivering them through the St. Vincent De Paul Society.  She enjoyed painting, creating ceramics, and gardening, as well as the challenge of a good puzzle.  She also found pleasure in road trips and baking for family.  Beloved wife for 48 years of the late Walter R. Pietraszak.  Loving and patient mother of Richard (Debra), Michael (Lisa Cortese), Patrick, Paul, David, the late William, the late James, and Joseph.  Cherished grandmother of Melissa, Katie, Raechel, Thomas, Walter, the late Alex and Nicholas.  Marguerite was the last dear sibling of Reverend Lawrence Schmuhl, Mary Jane McNally

(Robert), James (Wilma), Valerie Chathas (Gus) and Robert (Florence).  Sweet aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Treasured friend to many.

Due to public health concerns, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, kindly send donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
