Marion “Mim” Kolojay, age 79 of Chicago, IL (Hegewisch) passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.  She is survived by her daughter, Kim Majka; her son, Tony (Veronica) Kolojay; grandchildren, Leah (John) Semko, Madison Kolojay and Cole Kolojay; great-granddaughter, Vada Semko; sister, Loretta Hacker; brother, Bob (Dorris) Klotz; sister-in-law, Joanne Klotz; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Majka; brothers, Frank, Richard and Charles; and her parents, Ruth and Ace Liszewski and Frank Klotz.

Mim loved her family deeply, including her fur family.  She was a Hegewisch staple and Baltimore Food’s/Drago’s celebrity retiring from there after almost 30 years.  She was also retired from Balmoral Racetrack where she worked for 25 years.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL.
