Marion “Mario” R. Marciniak, age 90 passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy (nee Lollock) Marciniak; children, Mario Marciniak, Paul Marciniak, Laura (Dan) Valeria; grandchildren, Ryan Marciniak, Juliana Marciniak, Avalon (Michael) De Avila, Savannah Valeria, Daniel Valeria Jr.; great grandchildren, Gwen De Avila, Cameron De Avila, Baby girl De Avila; and furry companion, Gadget. Marion is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, Marion and Estelle Marciniak; and sister, Adeline (late John) Zientara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Drive Dyer, IN at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and again on Thursday, at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the 10:00 A.M. Mass.

I really adored Mr Marciniak!Sorry if I spelled it wrong. He is the one who gave me my nickname, Killer Karen when he came to watch softball games!My sister and I played. I use to hit home runs too. He was so very kind to me and it was a wonderful memory of meeting him. God bless all of his family. RIP Forever

Mrs. Marciniak and family, A dedicated family man a community influencer, Mario has had great influence on the lives of many. My contact with him was through scout troop 216. His presence and time as an adult leader made a difference. As a family you have been blessed with giving hearts. Thank you for all you do and have done. Love and prayers. Regards.

My condolences to the Marciniak family. I have many fond memories of Mr. Marciniak and the clan in Calumet City. May we all live to be 90!

My thoughts are with all of you right now. Mario was a very cool guy. I always enjoyed talking with him about cars, especially his Cadillacs. He will definitely be missed by all of us.
