Marjorie “Marge” Dzugan, age 96 of Highland, IN passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023. A loving mother to 2 children, Jerry (Mary/Partner) Dzugan and Cathy (Don) Davis; grandchildren, Michael Dzugan and Don (Kait) Davis; great-grandchildren Seattle Rose Pawlak and Raegann Bea Davis. Preceded in death by her parents Abner and Marie Goodwine; husband Walter Dzugan; and brothers, Kenneth Goodwine and Dale (Ester) Goodwine.
Marge was born and raised on a farm in central Indiana and Illinois. She moved to Chicago suburbs after her high school graduation and she met her future husband Wally, got married and raised their family. Marge became employed by Sears at River Oaks in Calumet City in retail for 20 years. She enjoyed playing the organ, had a great passion for reading novels and a variety of different books and playing board games and cards. Marge especially loved spending time with family and friends, going to dinner, the show and shopping. She also loved to travel. She had a great love for animals, including our dog Cami who will truly miss her too. Marge will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her sweet kind heart.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 1, 2023 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, Pastor Robert Szokes officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Visitation will be on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the funeral home from 3:00 to 7:00.
