Marta J. Swacker, 93 of Schererville, IN formerly of Cherokee Village, AR passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010. She is survived by sons, Ronald (Melody), Howard (Karen) and Robert (Paula) Swacker; daughters, Bonnie (Stephen) LeVan, Pamela (Mary Wanley) Kilpatrick, Patricia (Richard) Nore and Marta (Greg) Webber; 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren; preceded in death by her husband, William H. Swacker and son William H. Swacker Jr. Visitation will be on Monday, October 11, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a funeral service at 8:00 PM, Pastor Steve Jones officiating. Marta retired as a Supervisor from Illinois Bell after 35 years of service. She was the founding President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 4772 Highland, Arkansas, member of the First Baptist Church of Hardy, Arkansas and a member of the Communication Workers of America. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Susan G. Komen for the Cure (www.komen.org) in her memory would be appreciated.
