Mary Manchak, of Munster, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Mary is survived by her son, Robert (Michelle) Manchak; grandchildren, Jeffery and Jennifer Manchak; sister, JoAnn (George) Severson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Manchak and son, Richard Manchak; brother, Joseph Cech; and sisters, Ann Wright, Helen Corcoran and Madeline Hill. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 DIRECTLY at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial offered by Reverend Michael Yadron. Interment will be private at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery Hammond, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Mary was a graduate of Purdue University with a BS and Master’s degree in Dietetics and Loyola University with a Master degree in Education. She was a former Principal and parishioner of St. Thomas More school and church. After her retirement, Mary loved to play bridge, tennis and golf, and she was a member of AAUW.
