Mary G. Menconi, 91, of Chicago, IL passed away on February 9, 2009 with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving daughter: Marilyn (James) Humphrey; cherished grandmother of Dawn (Dan) Dworniczek, Bonnie (Laura Dalton) Humphrey, Nick (Annette) Humphrey, Kathy (Joe) Erhardt and Sue (Bob) Mazza; fond great grandmother of Robbie (Mariya) Mazza, Jimmy Humphrey, Ben Mazza, Becky Humphrey, Matthew Mazza, Nicole Erhardt and Kyle Erhardt. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM from St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Fr. Alfred Dettmer officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. Mary was a woman of few words but her quiet strength and sense of humor will be missed. Mary lived a life of quiet dignity, unfailing love and generosity. Mary was born in Chicago, IL April 25, 1917 and lived in Illinois until she was 87 when she came to live with her daughter and son in law in Las Vegas, NV. Mary loved to play cards, dance and had a passion for bowling and chocolate. She belonged to her Bunco club for 70 years, card clubs and senior activities. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
