Mary Louise (nee Simpson) Benoit passed away quietly on September 8, 2011 after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born on February 12, 1960. Mary Lou is survived by her parents Charles and Nancy Simpson, her brothers Charles and Douglas, and her sisters Judith (James) Kerins and Nancy Lee (Christopher) Malo. Mary Lou was actively engaged in the lives of her seven nieces and nephews; Anthony (Erin) Kerins, Thomas Kerins, Rachael (Jeremy) Raczkowski, Katie Simpson, Bryan Simpson, Amy Malo, Eric Malo and two great nephews Aidan and Maxwell Kerins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Agnes Simpson of Hebron, IN and Charles and Claudia Brown of Pittsburgh, PA. Mary Lou was lifetime resident of Munster, IN and worked at Munster Community Healthcare Systems for thirty-one years as a Purchasing Agent. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Ridge United Methodist Church, 8607 Columbia Avenue, Munster, IN from 2:00pm to 3:00pm with a memorial service immediately following. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Ridge United Methodist Church, of which Mary Lou was a lifelong member.
