Mary Patricia Wilk (Nee Brindley) age 91, of Munster, IN; passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30,2024; at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Chester Wilk; two loving daughters, Karen (Patrick) Barker, Nancy (Robert) Anadell; Cherished son Robert (Jasmin) Wilk; Adoring grandchildren; Eric, Matthew, Alyssa and Jacob. Mary is preceded in death, by her beloved parents, Gilbert and Mary Brindley.

Mrs. Wilk was born in East Chicago IN. on February 10, 1933. She was raised in Whiting, IN. A graduate of Whiting Sr. High School, where she excelled in singing and participated in the theatre guild both in Whiting and in Highland.

Mary and her husband Chester enjoyed old movies at home, reminiscing about movie stars from the golden age of Hollywood. She loved her family, friends, music, cooking, musicals and going to the movies with her friends. She absolutely loved traveling to Europe.

Her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mary will be deeply missed by her beautiful family and all who knew and loved her.

With respecting her wishes, services were held privately for her family. The family have requested memorial contributions to be made to Discalced Carmelite Fathers Shrine; 1628 Ridge Road; Munster, IN. 46321 in her name would be appreciated.
