Mary R. White

Mary R. White (nee Rogers), 86 of Munster, IN passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, May 20, 2011. She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 62 years, Marion White; daughter, Cynthia White of Munster, IN; grandsons, Benjamin (Anne McShane) Massie and Robert Fleener; special niece, Mary O’Malley and several other nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucy Rogers; Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her passions in life other than her family were the organizations she was involved in: Past Matron of the Hammond Chapter 370, Eastern Star, member of the Griffith Chapter 583, Eastern Star who will have a service on Monday at 7:30 PM; Past President of Hammond Women’s Club; Past President of Phi Mega; member of the National Association of Parliamentarians, Calumet Unit; and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Westminster Presbyterian Church in her memory would be appreciated. Visitation will be on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
