Mary Lubert, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 12, 1945, Mary lived a life defined by grace, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LeRoy Lubert, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Mary is survived by her two sons, Robert Winslow (Michelle) and Ross McKnight (Lisa); her cherished grandchildren Amanda Winslow, Elise McKnight, Hannah McKnight-Morris (Jake), and Nicole Tudor (Will); and her adored great-grandchildren Arlo Tudor and Delilah Tudor. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Mary’s professional life reflected her dedication and integrity. As an Executive Sales Representative for Massachusetts Mutual, she was admired for her professionalism, strong work ethic, and exceptional ability to connect with people genuinely. Her colleagues and clients respected not only her skill, but also the kindness and sincerity she brought to every interaction.
Beyond her work, Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking meals for family gatherings, playing golf, and spending time with friends and relatives, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, 19515 115th Avenue, Mokena, Illinois 60448. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 West Hoff Road, Elwood, Illinois 60421, where she will be reunited with her beloved husband. After the interment, family and friends are invited to gather at her home to share food, stories, and memories in her honor.
Mary will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her quick wit, and the quiet strength with which she faced every challenge. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience — one that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
