Mary T. Oosterbaan, 63, of Munster, IN passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, James Oosterbaan; brothers, Steven (Michele) Kiernicki and Ronald Kiernicki; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher; daughter, Caroline, and parents, Stephen and Leona Kiernicki. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 pm at KISH FUNERAL HOME, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. and on Monday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Mary was a retired Music Teacher from St. Ann School in Lansing, IL. She played the flute with the Windiana Concert Band. Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
