Mary Bereolos entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, March 6. 2013,to join her beloved husband Peter and daughter Sandra. Mary was born to Andrew and Matina Tsouchlos on September 17, 1917. In 1934, she married Peter J. Bereolos and together they raised three children. Her loving sons, \”Skip\” (James) and \”Bud\” (Andrew), together with their wives, Tess and Roz, remain to honor her memory. Also surviving are her Precious Grandchildren, Diana (John) Chrisagis, Andrea (Tom) Tsakopoulos, Angela (Mark) Hussey, Dena (Jerry) Tomasic and Peter Bereolos; her beloved Great-Grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew, Melissa, Ethan, Sandra, Conner, Zoe and Jennifer. Mary was devoted to her brothers, John, Gus and Pete and her sisters, Angie, Helen and their families. She is survived by her only sister-in-law, Audrey Tsouchlos. She also loved her many nieces and nephews from the Bereolos family. She was a wonderful God Mother to many. Mary was a devout Christian and never wavered in her faith. She was a life long member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Hammond. She loved her years singing in the Choir and attending Choir Conferences. She was a chartermember of the Daughters of Penelope and worked throughout her life, activelyparticipating in church affairs. Mary loved and was adored by her Church family.She was always ready to help anyone in need. Until her health began to fail, she was an active volunteer at the St. Joseph Soup Kitchen in Hammond. Mary and Pete traveled extensively during their marriage, but home was whereher heart was. During holidays and special occasions, everyone looked forward to her Baklava, Copenhi, Rum Balls and Peanut Brittle. Mary loved entertaining.Her dining room table always displayed original floral arrangements from her garden. Thru the years, she made many beautiful Afghans and Baby Quilts. Friends are invited to share memories with the family at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster In on Friday, March 8th from 3:00pm until8:00pm. Prayers services will be held at 7:00pm. A memorial service will follow by the Daughters of Penelope. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 7021 Hohman Avenue, Hammond, IN with Fr. David Bissias, Fr. Peter Georgacakes and Fr. Jimmy Grenias officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Donation to St. Demetrios Church, St. Iakovis Building Fund, St. Joseph Soup Kitchen or charity of you choice would be appreciated.May her memory be eternal.
