He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Anna Dernulc, Betty LaBelle.Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 1:00-9:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home with a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian burial at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be private.Mike was a Fireman with the City of Hammond for 20 years, He was a member and served as Treasurer for 10 years with Local 556. He worked security at the Horseshoe Casino. Mike was an avid Cubs and Blackhawks fan. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family for Trevor’s education would be appreciated.

I had esteem pleasure of knowing Firefighter Michael Dernulc while he was on the Hammond Fire Department. I can remember when he was appointed to the department and how excited and proud he was when he became a firefighter. He served with honor and dedication to the citizens of Hammond.
