Michael J. Skrundz

Michael J. Skrundz, 30 of Munster, IN went home to be with his Lord on Monday, November 19, 2012 after a 25 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Diane; sister, Kristi (Derek) Tucker; grandmother, Dorothy Trzupek; uncles, Larry (Linda) Trzupek, Rich (Irene) Trzupek and Allen (Connie) Trzupek; cousins, Steve, Becky and Dan Trzupek; Godmother, Pam Franker; Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phyllis and Chester Skrundz; grandfather, Stanley Trzupek. Visitation will be on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Michael was a graduate of Munster High School Class of 2001. He enjoyed attending plays, concerts, listening to the blues and going to sports events with his Dad. He loved all animals, especially his dogs (Candy & Gizmo). He was employed at Potbelly’s in Highland. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area in his memory would be appreciated. Though his life was short, his memory will be long.
