Monica Lynn Marsh, 31 of Munster, IN. passed away suddenly on Friday June 20, 2008; She is the loving wife of Christopher Lee Marsh; devoted mother of Patrick Ryan and Serena Elaine Marsh; She is also survived by her mother: Janis Teso (nee Huwig); sisters: Carla (Steve) Thompson and Kristina Teso; brother: E.J. (fianc√© Cathy Marsh) Teso; nieces: Mia and Kate Thompson; nephew: Gage Teso; In laws: Leroy and Jamie Marsh; grandparents: Jack and Seigle (Tootsie) Marsh; many aunts, uncles and cousins; Preceded in death by her father: Joseph Teso; brother in law: Ryan James Marsh and her maternal and paternal grandparents; Monica was a member of the Dyer United Methodist Church where she served on the Fellowship Committee and actively participated in Operation Backpack and Youth Ministries. Monica was an avid volunteer and room mother at Elliott School in Munster and enjoyed helping out with the many activities surrounding her children; she graduated from Portage High School and was currently a student at Purdue University Calumet working towards her degree in Education. Monica was known for her outgoing personality, her infectious laugh and her willingness to help others. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral service will be Tuesday June 24, 2008 at 10:00 am from the Dyer United Methodist Church 2016 Church St. Dyer, IN. with Pastor Ken Puent and Pastor Mark Wilkins officiating; Interment: Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Monica Marsh Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.

I am so sorry for your loss. Monica was a wonderful woman and she always lit up the room! I will regret not spending more time with her. She had such a beautiful family. I will keep her children in our prayers.

Like Lauren, I am a friend of Missy's from college. Over the years I was priveleged enough to spend some time with Monica when I visited with Missy - the most recent being at Missy's wedding. Monica was a very special person with a smile and a hug for everyone. She truly loved life, her family and friends. A bright star like Monica will be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband, son, daughter, mom, brother, sisters, family and friends. May God bless you all.

I am a very close friend of Missy's from college and had the great honor of meeting and knowing Moncia through Missy. I am deeply upset by what has happened and am in utter disbelief. Monica is one of the most caring, giving, genuine people I know who had such a zest and energy for life. I only met Monica in mid April when we had Missy's Bridal Shower in Portage, however I had been corresponding back and forth with e-mails for a few months prior to that. The first time we talked on the phone we spent 2 hours talking about all sorts of things. We had an immediate connection and a friendship started. I had the most amazing time spending June 5-8th with Monica and her mom Jan in Green Bay, Wis. From sharing a hotel room, shopping at Walmart and JoAnn's, to getting our hair done at the salon, and standing up in Missy's wedding, and eating our last lunch together at McDonald's near Milwaukee. I am very fortunate for the time I had getting to know Monica and mourn her loss and our budding friendship that has been cut short by this tragedy. My deepest sympathies are with her family and friends, especially her husband Chris, children Patrick and Serena, her mother Jan, and her brother and sisters. May your love and support be there to comfort you all through this incredibly difficult time.

Monica is a great and wonderful spirit. She was always so outgoing and spirited. I will always remember her and have so many memories from the time I met her on the first day of our freshman year in high school up until the last phone call that I had with her. She is greatly missed and will never be forgotten.To Monica's Family: If there is ever anything that I can do for you please let me know as I would have done anything for Monica and you are all a part of my life.
