Nancy Tabayoyong Campos, 70, of Munster, Indiana entered into God’s Kingdom on May 9th, 2023. She passed peacefully with her husband of 43 years, Mario, at her bedside. Born on February 20th,1953 in Laoac, Paganisnan, Philippines to Theodora D. Cabacungan and Catalino V. Tabayoyong,Nancy was the youngest of eight children.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Pangasinan in 1979 and also passing her U.S. nursing board exam, she emigrated from the Philippines to the United States to practice nursing for 41 years, mostly at St. Catherine Hospital (I.C.U.) in East Chicago, Indiana and Methodist Hospital (Rehab) in Gary, Indiana
On December 23rd, 1980, she married the love of her life Mario R. Campos, and they raised two children together: Marnan and Marc, before being blessed with three grandchildren in the last few years.
Nancy was of the Catholic Faith and attended mass at St. Thomas More in Munster, Indiana. A woman of many hobbies and passions, she enjoyed spending time with her family, her two dogs Reeses and Twix, traveling, cooking, gardening, and watching Filipino soap operas. Nancy was a force of nature and known by all for her infectious laugh, her insatiable work ethic, and her kind and compassionate soul.
A woman of indefatigable devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends, Nancy is survived by her husband Mario R. Campos; children Marnan T. Branch (nee Campos) (husband Christopher Branch) and Marc T. Campos (wife Alissa K. Campos); and three grandchildren: Meilani Branch, FitzAlan and Maxwell Campos. Nancy is also survived by her siblings Josefina T. Bareng, Rosalina T. Monahan, Maria T. Finuliar, and Nena T. Carbonell along with her many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodora D. Cabacugnan, and Catalino V. Tabayoyong; brother Rufo Tabayoyong, and sisters Florida T. Tagupa and Trinidad T. Moore.
Funeral services for Nancy will be held on May 27th, 2023 at 9:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (8501 Calumet Avenue, Munster, Indiana 46321). Nancy’s celebration of life will take place following her funeral service at Innsbrook Country Club (6701 W. Taft Street #3732, Merrillville, Indiana 46410).
