O’Donald “Don” Phillips, 87 of Beecher, IL passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013. Loving father of Don Phillips, Kathy (Bill) Beiriger, Cheryl (Greg) Dieterle and Jack (Tammi) Phillips; cherished grandfather of Ryan (Tammy), Adam, Lori (Matt), Jamie, Gregory, J.J. and Matt; proud great grandfather of Isabelle, Sophia, Emily, Morgan, Amelia and Nathan; fond brother of Preston (late Dorothy)rochelle Phillips and Simmie (Joanne) Phillips; several nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florence “Marge” Phillips. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 1:00 PM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Don was a retired member of Electrician Local 134 and served aboard the USS Duchess during World War II.
