Orville ‚ÄúBud‚Äù Vance, 70, of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Janis Vance; daughters, Wendy (Dan) Pesavento and Sara (Mike) Vance (Blick); grandchildren, Lucas, Ethan, Zephyr and Scarlet; brothers, Rick (Doyne) Vance and John (Deanna) Vance; sisters, Darlene Mathis and DeeDee (Steve) Murphy; many nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by; mother, Phena Vance; father, Les Kuchenbrod: step father, Carlton Vance; and his beloved Cairn Terrier, Todo. Visitation will be Friday, July 25, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8955 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be private.Bud was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather and avid golfer. He was a member and former Deacon of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Bud was an Administrator at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, University of Chicago Hospital, Lurie Children‚Äôs Memorial Hospital and a Joint Commission Inspector for JCAHO. Contributions to Westminster Presbyterian Church in his memory would be appreciated.

I was saddened to read the news of this obituary in the newspaper. I am the daughter of Olive Slone Bates. I remember that Orville Leslie, Orville Anderson Hopkins & Orville Morgan Bates were all named after our Uncle Orville Anderson Slone. I haven't heard from any of the family since Aunt Phena passed away January 2009. I would love to hear from any of the family. I have included my email address. You all are in my prayers.
