Patricia Ricciardi (nee Hoffman), age 86, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on February 12, 2026. She is survived by her devoted children: Richard (Julie), Dean (Mary Kay), Karin Ricciardi-Jones (Rod), and Joseph (Kelly); seven grandchildren: Christopher, Shannon, Richard, Dean, Ryan Guiseppe, and Giavanna; and eight great-grandchildren: Chloe, Gunner, Tyler, Aidan, Joseph, Luca, Dominic, and Lucia. Patricia is also survived by her sister, Barbara Lander; her brother, Daniel Hoffman (Monica); sisters-in-law Katherine (Ricciardi) Carroll and Mary (Ricciardi) Belzeski.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph V. Ricciardi; her parents, Lawrence and Mary Jeanette Hoffman; her brother, Michael Hoffman; her brother-in-law, Fred Lander; and beloved Ricciardi family members Bill Carroll, Robert Belzeski, Robert and Betty Ziller, and Carmello and Patricia Ricciardi.

A woman of faith and family, Patricia was the heart of the Ricciardi home. Raised in Hammond, IN, and a graduate of Bishop Noll High School, she was a loving daughter, a devoted wife, a dedicated mother, and a doting grandmother. Patricia was a loyal friend to many and always found time to volunteer with various charitable organizations. She provided constant support during Joseph’s years with the East Chicago Police Department and their subsequent business ventures throughout Northwest Indiana. Patricia found great joy in her family, whether traveling, cooking fabulous meals, or sewing. Always ready for a project—from reupholstering a sofa to hanging wallpaper—she excelled at everything she touched. Her graciousness, warmth, and fierce dedication to those she loved will be her lasting legacy.

Service Information: A Celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, with a prayer service held at 12:30 pm. Entombment will follow at St. John/ St. Joseph Cemetery Hammond, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patricia’s memory to the Hospice of the
Calumet Area (www.hospicecalumet.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
